Ovophis monticolaThree specimens (2 males and 1 female) were found around the Pange Camp, symptoms all under fallen logs in dry alcoves or depressions in the ground. Lengths ranged from 25cm to 50cm. The two males (25 and 30 cm) were significantly smaller than the female (50cm). The species looks like a terrestrial specialist and showed no inclination and little skill in climbing. The female specimen seemed gravid and was released as soon as we realized that.
